Meet the Team

Attorney at Law - Patsy Shaha, an Alutiiq woman, is a proud Alaskan Native that has lived in Alaska most of her life. She is originally from a small village called Perryville, Alaska with an astonishing population size of just 82 people! She graduated from Kenai High school, and then got a Bachelors in Biology Composite Teaching.

She taught for four years in middle school and high school, and then got a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and was a school administrator across all grades with the Anchorage School District. Ms. Shaha served the families of the Anchorage School District for over 15 years as an administrator; the last three three years as the principal of the Alaska Native Cultural Charter School, at the height of its scholastic achievement.

After leaving ASD, she went on to get a Master’s in Business Administration, and then went to law school at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. In law school, she served the students as the student body president; she served her fellow shareholders of Bristol Bay Native Corporation as a legal intern; and she served the people of Oregon as the legal intern for Governor Kate Brown. What an experience!

Attorney at Law - Dominick Sarte holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law and Graduate School. During his studies, he participated in the Environmental Energy Institute Clinic, completed advanced appellate advocacy coursework, and contributed to a panel addressing domestic violence. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Business Operations from California Lutheran University, where he held multiple leadership positions within the Psychology Club and presented original research at the Festival of Scholars.

Originally from Northern California, Dominick, has served as an Associate District Attorney with the Kenai District Attorney’s Office and has professional experience spanning public service, environmental law, and private sector operations. His legal work is guided by a deep commitment to integrity, environmental stewardship, and effective advocacy.

In addition to his legal practice, Dominick remains actively engaged in community service. He currently serves as a Harbor Commissioner for the City of Kenai and volunteers with organizations such as H.A.V.E. Alaska, Mountain Restoration Trust, The Mighty Underdogs, Shriners Organization, and Mending Kids—reflecting his dedication to community well-being and humanitarian outreach.

David Walberg serves as a Legal Assistant at Yuraq Legal Services, bringing a unique blend of administrative expertise, counseling, and community-focused support to the firm. A skilled professional with extensive experience in behavioral coaching, early intervention, and client advocacy, David applies his background to ensure that clients receive thorough, organized, and compassionate support throughout their legal matters.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social/Cultural Anthropology from the University of Alaska Anchorage, an Associate of Arts in Applied Business from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University. His diverse experience includes roles as an Autism Personal Coach, Licensed Behavioral Analyst Interventionalist, and Executive Director of The Business Boutique AK, demonstrating his commitment to individualized support, problem-solving, and effective client communication.

At the firm, David assists attorneys and clients in managing case materials, preparing documentation, coordinating communications, and ensuring that all legal processes run smoothly. His attention to detail, organizational skills, and client-centered approach make him an invaluable member of the Yuraq Legal Services team.

Ace Chapple is a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal, bringing exceptional organization, precision, and client service to the firm. A true Alaskan Native of Alutiiq heritage, Ace was born and raised in Alaska and remains deeply connected to his community and culture. He graduated at the top of his class and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing.

With over a year and a half focused experience in family law, Ace provides critical support in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, restraining orders, wills and probate, and landlord–tenant disputes. He is highly skilled in drafting and filing legal documents, managing case timelines, preparing trial materials, and ensuring compliance with court procedures and deadlines. His strong grasp of legal terminology, filing systems, and e-filing platforms ensures efficient and accurate case management.

Beyond the legal field, Ace is also known for his engaging public presence as a tour guide and professional driver, showcasing Alaska’s culture, history, and natural beauty to visitors from around the world. His professionalism, reliability, and deep pride in his Alaskan roots make him an invaluable member of the Yuraq Legal Services team.

Brittani Shelton serves as the firm’s Front Desk Legal Assistant and Office Manager, bringing professionalism, warmth, and efficiency to every client interaction. She is often the first point of contact for clients, ensuring that each person who walks through the door or calls the office is greeted with courtesy and care.

Brittani oversees the firm’s daily administrative operations, including scheduling, document management, and client communication, while supporting attorneys and paralegals in maintaining organized and timely case files. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to client service help ensure that the office runs smoothly and that every case receives the focused support it deserves.

Known for her dependability and positive attitude, Brittani plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment that reflects the firm’s dedication to quality legal service and community trust.
